    Our FREE Oral Health Promotion Workshops are a popular CPD for staff across sectors.

    From Early Years Practitioners to Stop Smoking Support Workers, School Nurses to Care Home Managers, Childminders to Teachers – over 200 professionals have been trained by our team in the last year.

    Training for Everyone

    We run regular training events online and will come to your staff meetings (within North Somerset) to run workshops adapted for your team’s needs. So whatever you do, if you’d like to increase staff knowledge of oral health, get in touch using the contact form on this page.

    If you work with children and cannot make it to any of the workshops scheduled here, Health Education England offers a free online course which you can work through at a time convenient to you.

    All of our webinars are in workshop format and work best when participants come prepared to share their own experiences and questions to inform the session.

    Promoting Oral Health to Children, Young People and Families

    This training will equip children’s workforce practitioners with the knowledge and best tips for looking after children’s teeth, to enable much needed conversations with parents, to help them prevent tooth decay in their children. As a group participants will discuss ways to pass these messages onto children in fun and engaging ways, and share ideas from practice. Those who have done this course before have reported a 48% increase in confidence when promoting oral health to children and 68% increased confidence talking with parents about the subject.
    The training will take place on Microsoft Teams so, please ensure your email address is correct when signing upĀ  as a link will be sent out just prior to the training.
